Asbestos Surveys and Services in Bookham
With Key Asbestos you are in safe hands. Our professional team provides a quality and comprehensive range of services to domestic and commercial customers. Whether you are looking to confirm the presence of asbestos or to remove Artex from walls and ceilings, our experts are here to help.
What was once in abundance in the construction industry, asbestos is now banned as it can cause significant health risks when disturbed. Many buildings still contain asbestos, making it essential to assess any suspicious material before renovation or demolition work commences.
Asbestos Inspection
We carry out asbestos inspections throughout the Bookham & surrounding areas to establish the type, condition and risk level of hazardous materials in your vicinity. Laboratory testing is crucial, as asbestos can be mixed in with other harmless materials, making it difficult to identify by sight alone.
Asbestos Surveys in Bookham
Commercial buildings owners or those responsible for them must, by law, identify and manage asbestos. We provide thorough commercial asbestos surveys to support this, plus back up any previous findings. There are two primary types of asbestos surveys available:
Local Asbestos Surveys
Asbestos surveys give homeowners and businesses detailed findings about the presence of hazardous materials in their property. This is key for record-keeping, especially for any future renovation or building work that may be carried out. We aim to deliver prompt turnaround times without compromising on necessary time to conduct thorough research.
Pre-Purchase Surveys
Purchasing a property often raises many questions, with the potential presence of asbestos concerns being among the most important. While a standard property survey may identify materials that warrant further investigation, only a licensed asbestos contractor can definitively confirm the presence of asbestos. Our pre-purchase asbestos surveys provide prospective buyers with the information they need to make a confident and informed decision before committing to a property purchase.
Asbestos Abatement
Our asbestos abatement services include both encapsulation and removal solutions, tailored to the specific circumstances and based on whether long-term on-site management is a practical and safe option.
Other Services
As well as our core services above, we also provide the following across Bookham and the surrounding areas:
Asbestos Removal
Floor tiles and plaster can sometimes contain asbestos and typically present minimal risk when left undisturbed. However, if you are planning any renovation, refurbishment, building or demolition work, it is important to seek advice from a qualified asbestos specialist to ensure any potential risks are properly managed.
Our experienced team can safely remove asbestos-containing materials and effectively manage any residual fibres, ensuring your site remains compliant, safe, and ready for your project to progress with minimal disruption.
Asbestos-containing materials also commonly include:
Artex Removal
Artex, a textured wall and ceiling coating commonly used in older properties, may contain asbestos and can become hazardous if disturbed. We safely remove Artex prior to refurbishment works, whether in a single room or throughout an entire property. Contact our team to discuss your requirements.
Asbestos Testing
We provide professional asbestos testing services throughout Bookham & further afield, helping homeowners and businesses gain clarity, peace of mind, and accurate records for compliance purposes. Our fully trained team is equipped with the appropriate PPE and carries out all work to the highest industry standards.
Asbestos Roofs
Concerned about your garage roof or ceiling? Asbestos was commonly used in cement roofing products and garage construction materials, so professional advice is essential before undertaking any renovation or demolition work. Our team can safely remove asbestos cement sheets, insulation materials, and contaminated rubble in a controlled environment, ensuring your project proceeds safely and compliantly.
