Do I need an Asbestos Survey if I have had a Building Survey carried out?
For home buyers, the Building Surveyor is carried out before purchasing a property. The building survey often references materials suspected to contain Asbestos. We need to find out if asbestos is present so you know if this will affect your purchasing of the property.
Sampling suspected asbestos materials following a building survey
We may be asked to sample or test specific materials identified by the building survey as suspected Asbestos such as Artex or floor tiles or a garage roof etc In some cases this is all the action that is required. The laboratory test results let the Property buyer know if asbestos is present. We can then go through what remedial action is required and what the cost implications are.
